A PUBLIC elementary school teacher in Masbate was shot dead by two still unidentified gunmen inside her classroom shortly before noon last Friday, police said.
Loida Patatpat, 51, was attacked without any provocation by the suspects inside the Antipolo Elementary School in Bgy. Antipolo, Palanas, Masbate, at 11:11 a.m. Friday. She died on the spot, a Police Regional Office 5 report said.
PRO5 director Chief Supt. Jose Arne de los Santos said members of the Palanas Municipal Police Station are still tracking down the assassins as of yesterday. The motive behind the killing is still being investigated, said De los Santos.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) will conduct a full-blown investigation into the killing of Patatpat.
PNP spokesman Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz said that PNP chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome has ordered his men to do their best to bring the suspects behind bars. With Zaida delos Reyes-Palanca
