Malolos cops nab 3 motorcycle thieves


MALOLOS City -- Three suspected motorcycle-riding thieves were arrested after they snatched a single motorcycle on Blas Ople Road, Bgy. Bulihan, here, Thursday.

Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr. said the suspects were nabbed at around 4:30 a.m. in Bgy. Caingin.

Supt. David Poklay, Malolos police chief, identified the suspects as Myra Fe San Pedro, 29, married, jobless, of 400 Del Carmen Subd., Bgy. Sumapang Matanda; Willima Bocobo, 33, cook, married, of 23 San Jose Subd., Bgy. Mojon; and Byrhon Quetua, 26, tricycle driver, single, of Bgy. Ligas, all in Malolos City.

Initial investigation disclosed that Rigor Borlongan, 23, of Bgy. Anilao, Malolos City, was driving his motorcycle with two  backriders identified as Jayson Acuna, 25, of Sitio Bliss, Bgy. Bulihan, and San Pedro, when the suspects blocked their path and forcibly took the motorcycle on the eastbound lane of Ople Road.

During initial investigation, it was established that San Pedro set up the carnapping operation. A hot pursuit operation was conducted by Malolos police headed by Poklay and arrested San Pedro.

San Pedro identified her cohorts who were arrested in a follow-up operation.

Two other companions of the suspects who remained at large were Eric dela Cruz, of Villa Tierra Subd., Bgy. Sumapang Matanda, and Mac-Mac, of Alido Height Subd., this city.

The arrested suspects were placed under the custody of Malolos police. Criminal charges will be filed against them.
