CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga -- After completing construction of additional hospitals, Gov. Lilia G. Pineda is focusing on the renovation and construction of municipal police stations and community police action centers in the province’s 20 towns.
Pineda has ordered the provincial engineer’s office to inspect the extent of damages of concerned police stations and make recommendations for their simultaneous “make-over.”
The governor came to know the current conditions of the police stations during a meeting Wednesday at the capitol with police director Senior Supt. Edgardo Tinio and all municipal chiefs of police.
Pineda, along with members of the provincial board, were shocked upon seeing the video presentation of leaking roofs, falling ceilings, termite-eaten door jambs, unhinged doors, cracked floors, rusted taps and sinks that generally made the typical municipal police station.
She assured the law enforcers that the provincial government remains firm in its commitment to provide the needed support to the PNP to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in the province.
Tinio, speaking in behalf of the Pampanga provincial police office, expressed his overwhelming gratitude to the governor who remained consistent in her desire to ensure effective and efficient delivery of government services. Rudy J. Abular
