MARILAO, Bulacan -- Two men were arrested in an entrapment operation in front of SM City mall in Bgy. Ibayo Tuesday evening for allegedly selling fake Iphone.
In a report to Senior Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr., Bulacan provincial director, Supt. Gerardo Andaya, Marilao police chief, identified the suspects as Allan Cortez, 41, married, resident of 01 Sto. Domingo St., corner Mauban, and Danilo Pascua, 25, jobless, native of Nueva Ecija and resident of Biak Na Bato, both in Bgy. Manreza, Quezon City.
According to Senior Insp. Restituto Granil, prior to the incident, said suspects pretended to be salesmen of Iphone wherein the victim, Jeffrey Buencamino, 28, of 168 Martin Subd., Ibayo, Marilao, was convinced to buy.
Police recovered from the suspects’ possession two Iphones, two Iphone dummies and marked money worth P1,000.
The suspects are presently detained while appropriate criminal complaints are being prepared for filing in court. Manny Balbin & Troy Gallardo
