4 illegal broadband modem installers nabbed in Bulacan


MALOLOS City  --  Provincial Public Safety Company operatives arrested four men while installing a Globe broadband modem without authority from the Globe Telecom Incorporated in Bgy. Capihan, San Rafael, Bulacan, Tuesday. 

In a report to Bulacan provincial director Senior Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr., PPSC company commander Supt. Fitz Macariola identified the  suspects as  Lamberto Santos, 35, married, welder, resident of   177 Camua St., Bgy. Poblacion; Bobby Bautista, 31, tricycle driver, of Bgy. Sipat; Paul Kristoffer Salonga, 24, single, of  4443 J. Garcia St. of Bgy. Poblacion; and Allan Javier, 31, single, resident of 443 Bgy. Poblacion, all in Plaridel, Bulacan.

Initial investigation disclosed that  at about 10:40 p.m. last Tuesday, personnel of Globe’s Bantay Kable Operatives reported to 1st Maneuver Platoon, PPSC, the suspects’ illegal activity by installing broadband modem.

Macariola immediately conducted a follow-up operation which resulted in the apprehension of the suspects.

Confiscated from the suspects  were one  Huawei Wi-max CPE, one Huawei Wi-max CPE Model, BM622i  and one red Suzuki motorcycle with sidecar with plate number XD-7483. 

A case for violation of RA 8484 (An Act Regulating the Issuance and Use of Access Devices, Prohibiting Fraudulent Acts Committed Relative thereto) will be filed against the suspects before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Malolos City, Bulacan.

Mendez said the operation was in line with the directives of Central Luzon regional police director Chief Supt. Edgardo T. Ladao to all police provincial offices to intensify the campaign against all forms of criminality.
