2 brods hurt in knife attack

TWO brothers were stabbed by a man for still unclear reason the other day in Muntinlupa City.

Police said Pedro Canilo, 41, and his younger brother, Jerry, 39, of 41 Extension Ilaya St., Bgy. Alabang, Muntinlupa City, were both rushed to Ospital ng Muntinlupa for treatment.
   
Pedro suffered a stab wound in the chest while Jerry was hit in the arms.
   
The suspect, identified as John Francisco, of P.E.D.H.S,  Bgy. Albang, escaped after the incident.
   
SPO1 Mark Villanuac and PO3 Glen Quinay, of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Muntinlupa City police, said the incident took place at 4:30 a.m. in front of Dimple Star Terminal on Alabang Road, Bgy. Alabang.
   
Investigation showed that Pedro and Jerry, both taxi drivers, were in an eatery and taking their coffee break when Francisco arrived and for no apparent reason stabbed Pedro in the chest.
   
Jerry tried to help his brother but the suspect also stabbed him, hitting him in the arms as he tried to defend himself from the attack.
   
Police investigation is still ongoing to determine the motive behind the stabbing incident. They are also hot on the trail of the suspect’s arrest.
