AFTER two months of surveillance, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Thursday arrested a barangay captain in Bulacan for his involvement in illegal drug trafficking activities, PDEA Director General Isidro S. Lapeña said yesterday.
The official identified the suspect as Henry San Miguel, chairman of Bgy. Mag-asawang Sapa in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, who was arrested by members of the PDEA Regional Office 3 headed by Director Juvenal Azurin in an entrapment operation in Bgy. Guyong at 2 p.m.
Seized from the suspect were the buy-bust money handed to him by an undercover officer and about five grams of suspected shabu worth P25,000.
Now being held at the PDEA Region 3 detention facility in Camp Olivas, San Fernando City, Pampanga, the suspect will be facing charges for selling of drugs under Republic Act 9165.
