NAGA City -- Colorful murals depicting the Duterte administration’s war against illegal drugs are displayed on a 30-meter wall at the back buildings of the Naga City Police Office (NCPO) on Barlin Street. At least 35 Architecture students of the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BSCAST) worked on the painting for three consecutive days.

PNP Bicol director Chief Supt. Omar Melvin Buenafe was impressed when he viewed the murals, which portrayed the faces of President Duterte, PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, VP Leni Robredo and the late Naga City Mayor Jesse Robredo.
The compositions of the murals also include telenovela “Ang Probinsiyano” police hero “Cardo Dalisay.”
During the judging of the murals, Buenafe remarked, “Talents in mural painting and visual arts are deterrent for the youth to engage in the use of illegal drugs.”
Aside from cash prizes, Buenafe and Naga City Police Director Julius Muniz also gave the participating students P2,000 each as incentives.
