The suspects, numbering around six and all wearing helmets and face masks, escaped on their motorcycles after the killing.
Meanwhile, a drug suspect was gunned down just outside their house while another was killed inside his house by motorcycle-riding members of the Deadly Death Squad (DDS) in separate shooting incidents yesterday in Pasay and Muntinlupa cities.
First to be killed was Jenlet Buenaventura, alias Totoy Topak, single, jobless, of 2903 C. Cruz St., Bgy. 147, Zone 16, Pasay City.
Police said Buenaventura was shot dead by three helmet wearing gunmen riding two motorcycles without license plates.
Investigation showed that the incident took place at 1:20 a.m. on EDSA corner C. Cruz Street just a few meters away from Buenaventura’s house.
A CCTV footage showed that the victim was standing and smoking at the corner of the streets when one of the suspects with drawn gun approached Buenaventura from behind and shot him in the chest twice and then sprinted to a motorcycle to escape.
It was at this point that the two other riding-in-tandem DDS suspects came and pumped two more bullets in the head of Buenaventura, making sure that he was dead.
At 2:30 a.m. in Muntinlupa, four suspected DDS members barged inside the house of Michelle Bautista, 32, of 70 Garcia Compound, Bgy. Cupang.
Senior Supt. Nicolas Salvador, chief of Muntinlupa police, said Bautista, who was rushed to Ospital ng Muntinlupa, expired while being treated due to multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigation showed that Bautista was soundly asleep inside his house when the suspects barged in and shot the victim repeatedly before escaping.
