PHILIPPINE National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa is hoping that President Rodrigo Duterte will not be ousted, either through a coup d’etat or impeachment, so that they will win the war on illegal drugs.

He could not help but cry after hearing the testiomy of confessed drug dealer Kerwin Espinosa that some ranking police officials in Leyte had allegedly received “protection money” from him in exchange for protection for his drug trade.

“In the end, sabi ni Pesidente tapusin natin itong laban na ito. We still have, we have the complete six years.

“We will do everything humanly possible para linisin natin ang Pilipinas, your honor,” said Dela Rosa at the Senate yesterday.

Dela Rosa became teary-eyed when Sen. Migz Zubiri commented that it was comforting to know that the general public trusts him.

To which the PNP head said: “Nahihirapan ako na mag-adjust dahil sa mga pangyayari.

Pero never akong nasilaw sa pera,” he told the senators.

We will survive. Kakayanin namin.

“Hindi ako Superman. Ako’y isang ordinaryong pulis lang pero since inilagay ako bilang chief PNP ni Presidente gagawin ko lahat your honor, gagawin ko. Lilinisin natin ito, even if will cost my life,” he said.
