A 38-year-old woman died when she was shot repeatedly by her former live-in partner when she refused to talked to him the other night in Dinalupihan, Bataan.
The victim was identified as Sherryll Lyn Samaniego Talavera, single, of Purok 4, Roosevelt, Dinalupihan, Bataan.
The suspect, identified as Diosdado Prada Arreza Jr., 54, married, also of Bgy. Roosevelt, fled after the incident.
Reports said the incident occurred at around 10:05 p.m. inside the sari-sari store of the victim.
Police said the suspect and his friend were having a drinking spree in front of the store. When he got drunk later, he requested the victim to come out and talk to him.
“Lumabas ka diyan, mag-usap tayo,” the suspect shouted.
However, the victim refused and avoided the suspect, thus making the latter angry.
The frustrated suspect went home and came back later armed with an unknown caliber of firearm and shot the victim repeatedly.
The suspect quickly fled while the victim was rushed to the nearest hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival by an attending physician.
According to their neighbors, the suspect was terribly hurt when the victim broke up with him and every time that he got drunk, he would always voice out his problem with the girl.
