PILIPINAS Shell, one of the three oil giants in the country, spearheaded the announcement of big-time price rollback effective today.
Ina Soriano, communications officer of Shell, in a text message, said the rollback was pegged at P0.65 per liter in pump prices of gasoline, P1.20 for kerosene and P1 for diesel.
Soriano said the rollback took effect at 6 a.m. today.
Other companies, including the two other oil giants in the country, Petron Philippines and Chevron (Caltex) Philippines, have yet to announce their rollback.
The rollback is a welcome relief to motorists and the general public following a series of oil price hike that started first week of this August.
