Nag-release na ng press statement ang ABS-CBN at Dreamscape Entertainment hinggil sa mga eksena sa Till I Met You na kinukuwestiyon ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Ang mga nasabing eksena na naging dahilan para magpatawag ng dialogue ang MTRCB chairman na si Toto Villareal with the directors, executive producer and writer of TIMY ay ang controversial love scenes ng mga bidang sina James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JaDine) sa serye.

Ayon sa official statement na ipinost ng Dreamscape Entertainment sa kanilang Instagram account last Saturday, layunin lang daw ng show na magbigay ng lessons sa mga kabataang umiibig na pinaiiral ang pagiging impulsive at before the airing ay nagpadala naman daw sila ng sulat sa MTRCB informing that the Oct. 25 episode would be labeled under SPG (Strong Parental Guidance) classification bilang self-regulation na rin ng network.

Narito ang kabuuan ng official statement:

“The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) earlier issued an invitation to the directors and producer of Till I Met You to a conference for them to explain some scenes to address certain viewer concerns. MTRCB posted the invitation online, which attracted social media discussion.

“Prior to the airing of the questioned episode last Oct. 25, the producers, by way of self-regulation pursuant to MTRCB policy and practice, did send a letter to the MTRCB informing them that the episode will bear the classification of SPG (Strong Parental Guidance) because of the sensitive material involved.

“The intent of the episode to show certain sensitive scenes was to make viewers aware not only of the consequences of young and reckless love but also how impulsive acts of this kind of love occur in real life. There are lessons to be learned where decisions are made on impulse. We hope that the program will be appreciated in its entirety and some scenes not taken out of context.

“Rest assured that the program executives will participate in the conference requested for by the MTRCB on Nov. 10.”

Tatlong pelikula na ang nagagawa ni Dong for Star Cinema -- Segunda Mano in 2011, One More Try in 2013 at ngayon ay ang The Unmarried Wife with Angelica Panganiban and Paulo Avelino na showing on Nov. 16.

“And we should also be grateful and thankful na ’yung ating industry ngayon is in a better position than where it was probably years ago dahil mas marami na pong nagpo-produce ng movie, mas marami na ring bagong artista.

“So, wouldn’t it be nice kung mas maraming ganitong klaseng mixture and ganitong klaseng kung baga collaboration in the future?” pahayag ni Dong.
