TWO ‘high-value’ drug targets in Ilocos-Pangasinan region, one of them a barangay official, have surrendered to officials of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, a report to PNP-CIDG director Chief Supt. Roel B. Obusan said yesterday.
The two were identified as Samuel Casugay, an incumbent kagawad of Bgy. Lingsat in San Fernando City in La Union; and Nereo Querbin, a resident of Bgy. Don Dimas Querubin in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur.
CIDG Region 1 chief Senior Supt. Amando Lagiwid said the two are both listed as ‘high-value drug targets’ in the region and are included on the CIDG watchlist of known drug personalities.
The two yielded to local CIDG officers and executed affidavits of voluntary surrender after undergoing a debriefing. However, no charges were filed against the two.
