Four of five suspected members of a kidnap-for- ransom (KFR) group are being tracked down by police after they hacked a retired Fil-Am and his personal driver at the Majesty Resort in Bgy. Pansol, Calamba City, Laguna, Wednesday night.

In the meantime, police held a woman believed to a cohort of the suspects. She is identified by Supt. Albert Dacanay Tapulao, Calamba police chief, as Abigail Capuso Layron, 25, of Cordillera St., Bgy. Sampiruhan, Calamba City.
Police said she will undergo inquest proceedings.
In a report to acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Joel Pernito, the four suspects were identified as a certain Clarrise, of Sito Silangan, Bgy. Canlubang; Dexter Oruga, of Bgy. Punta; Prince Val Panganiban and Lazaro Mendoza Sayno, of Bgy. Punta, all of Calamba City.
Meanwhile, Supt. Tapu-lao, identified the victims as Jhonny Manlunas Molina, 76, single, of 30 Couger St., Village East, Bgy. Sto Domingo, Cainta, Rizal; and Julius Maputol Tagapia, 29.
Investigators said the victims were inside the Majesty Resort at 9:30 p.m. when the suspects arrived. One of the suspects hacked the victims in the head, rendering them unconscious.
“Dahil sa pagbagsak ng biktima, na akala ng mga suspek ay patay na, ay mabilis nilagyan ng posas ang driver at kinuha ang mahahalagang gamit saka itinakas,” said Tapulao.
The four suspects immediately boarded a vehicle and sped toward Tagaytay City but the driver was able to escape and went to Tagaytay Police Station.
Police said the suspects demanded, thru phone call, P3,000,000 in exchange of the victim's freedom.
