OTBT yields 8 drug suspects

POLICE arrested eight drug suspects, including a 17-year-old girl and a boy, who were allegedly caught in the act of holding an early morning shabu session the other day in Taguig City.

Senior Supt. Allen Ocden, Taguig chief of police, said the girl and the boy were arrested together with Erwin Palacios, alias Gaga, 42, a sales agent; Ulid Alamada, alias Tata, 44, family driver; Taha Camansa, 23, a logistic representative; Jason Camansa, alias Duroy, 24; Jay Gunda, 28; and Grace Golde, alias Gracia, 40, all of Western Bicutan, Taguig City.

Police reports said the suspects were arrested at 7 a.m. after police conducted a “One-Time, Big- Time” operation at PNR Site, Bgy. Western Bicutan.

Ocden said the suspects were caught in the act holding an early morning shabu session following the drug-bust operation.

SPO4 Roman Narag said aside from illegal drugs and paraphernalia, they also recovered a cal. .38 paltik from Palacios.

Meanwhile, operatives of District Anti-Illegal Drugs Station Operation Task Group (DAID-SOTG) arrested 39-year- old Arnold Gariango, alias Ronald, of 18 St., Bgy. 770, Zone 84, Sta. Ana, Manila, in a buy-bust operation
Police said they seized from Gariango, an alleged notorious drug peddler, two plastic sachets of shabu and a cal. .38 homemade gun.
Police said the buy-bust took place at 4 p.m. on Kalayaan Avenue, Bgy. Singkamas, Makati City.
Police operatives immediately pounced on Gariango after he handed over a plastic sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000 bill.
Police said charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were filed against the suspects, but the two minors were turned over to DSWD for proper disposition.
Illegal possession of firearms charges were also filed against Palacios and Gariango.
