SAN Pascual, Batangas -- Police canned three persons for possession of guns, ammunition and drugs in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Poblacion, here, Saturday morning.
Batangas police director Senior Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag identified the suspects as Reymar Dimayuga Calalo, 46, driver; Esmeralda Guarin Robles, 41, married; and Angelica Ong Robles, 18, single, all of Bgy. Poblacion, this town.
At 10:30 a.m. on October 15, members of the San Pascual Police Station, led by Chief Insp. Gaylor F. Pagala, OIC, in coordination with PDEA 4A, conducted a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Poblacion, San Pascual, which led to the arrest of the three suspects.
During the course of operation, PO1 Kier Laroza, who acted as poseur buyer, was able to purchased shabu from the suspects worth P1,000 and confiscated nine more plastic sachets of suspected shabu, ammunition and an improvised shotgun.
The officers recovered 10 small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing 1.6 grams, a P1,000 bill in marked money, a P500 bill, 10 P100 bills, two improvised shotguns, a plastic box containing aluminum foil strip, a weighing scale, seven live ammunition for shotgun; seven live ammunition for cal. .45 and four live bullets for Carbine.
Markings, inventory and photographs of confiscated items were made at the place of their arrest in the presence of Jose H. Laura, media representative, and Kagawad Amado D. Reyes of Bgy Poblacion.
The suspects were brought to the Bauan General Hospital, for medical examination while the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Batangas Crime Laboratory Office for examination. They were detained at the police lock-up cell, facing charges for violation of Secs. 5 and 11, Art. 2 of RA 9165 and violation of RA 10591.
