Couple loses cash, jewelry to robbers

BATANGAS City -- A car-riding couple was flagged down at gunpoint by motorcycle-riding holdupmen who divested them of their cash, jewelry and belongings along the highway in Sitio Labac, San Isidro, here, the other day.

City police head Supt. Barnard Danie Dasugo identified the victims as Jacinto Andal Ramirez, 40, overseas Filipino worker; and Milagros Castillo Ramirez-Andal, 39, a dentist, both of Saint Dominic, Tierra Verde, Bgy. Pallocan West, this city.
Detectives SPO2 Edsel dela Cruz and SPO1 David Reyes said the victims were on board a Suzuki Swift car (VFD 848) and traversing the highway in Sitio Labac, San Isidro at 12:50 p.m. the other day when the two unidentified suspects blocked  their car at gunpoint.
The suspects forcibly took the victims’ jewelry, cash, gadgets and belongings amounting to P517,000 and the car keys and fled on their motorcycle.
