TWO men earlier arrested for drug possession were killed after allegedly trying to grab the guns of the policemen who were escorting them to a medical checkup in Tondo, Manila, the other night.

Edison Molina, 38, driver, of Block 23, Lot 25, Kalye 43, Xevera, Bacolor, Pampanga; and Mark Angelo Noromo, 25, a helper, of Block 33, Bgy. Victoria Reyes, Dasmariñas, Cavite City, were reportedly shot dead after allegedly trying to grab the guns of their police escorts while they were inside a police mobile car following their arrest for illegal possession of drugs. The incident took place at 10:30 p.m. along Road 10 in Vitas, Tondo.

Operatives from the MPD-Smokey Mountain Police Community Precinct (PCP) reportedly arrested the duo while they were patrolling along Simeon de Jesus Street in Balut after they were acting suspiciously. Found in their pockets were two plastic sachets containing shabu.

The suspects were brought to the precinct for proper disposition and then made to board the mobile car so they could be taken to the hospital for the standard medical examination.

However, while at the southbound lane of Road 10, the duo allegedly tried to grab the guns of their police escorts so the cops were prompted to shoot them. They were taken to the hospital to no avail.
