Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi offered a P100,000 reward yesterday afternoon for the immediate arrest of “Rentangay” suspect at large Rommel Dayuta, who was involved in the killing of a rent-a-car driver.
Fresnedi said the reward will be given to anyone who can provide information on the whereabouts of Paul Brazil’s killer. Brazil, of Bgy. Poblacion, was killed by ‘Rentangay’ group members last June 29 in Abucay, Bataan.
The local exec put up the financial reward following the request of Brazil’s kin to the city government for the speedy apprehension of Dayuta, the syndicate’s leader.
“Anyone who can deliver or hand over Dayuta to the authorities, dead or alive, will be receiving P100,000 reward from Muntinlupa City,” Fresnedi added.
According to a police report, Dayuta escaped during a shootout with PNP Highway Patrol Group Limbas wherein some members of the ‘Rentagay’ group were killed last week in Pangasinan.
The syndicate is directly linked to a series of murder of rent-a-van drivers in Regions 1, 3 and Calabarzon.
Anyone who has information regarding the suspect’s location may contact Muntinlupa police at 862-2611, 862-37-78, 862-1841, 543-0799 and 861-7922.
