9 wanted men arrested in Pangasinan anti-crime ops

NINE wanted persons were arrested by agents of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office in a series of anti-crime operations in the province over the past three days, local police director, Senior Superintendent Ronald O. Lee announced yesterday.

In a report to Police Regional Office 1 director, Chief Supt. Gregorio Pimentel, the official said seven of the suspects were arrested in anti-narcotics operations while the two were jailed on the strength of warrants of arrest for various crimes.
On Tuesday, combined operatives of the Pangasinan PPO and the Bani Municipal Police Station arrested Hever Ocuaman, a 59-year old farmer said to be involved in gun-for-hire activities during an operation in Barangay Tiep in Bani.
The suspect was arrested on the basis of a warrant of arrest for violence against women and their children issued by Judge Mervin Jovito Samadan of the Alaminos City Regional Trial Court Branch 54.
In Bayambang, local police and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group personnel on Wednesday arrested Niño Mar Tongol, 29, a resident of Bgy. Bical Sur wanted for rape. No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the suspect by Judge Hermogenes Fernandez of the San Carlos City RTC Branch 57.
In San Nicolas municipality, local policemen on Friday arrested Michael Dulay, 28, a tricycle driver during a buy-bust operation in Zone 2, Bgy. San Roque. Seized from the suspect were a small plastic sachet of shabu and a marked P500 bill paid to him by an undercover officer.
In Dagupan City, police on Friday arrested Lilibeth Guillermo, 18, and her cousin Melanie Guillermo,19, both residents of Bgy. Lomboy Calay in Binmaley after they conspired to sell shabu to a poseur along AB Fernandez Avenue corner Galvan Street at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Recovered from the suspects were one sachet of shabu and the marked money.
In Alaminos City, police arrested William Raquem alias ‘Ungot,’ a 42-year-old electrician during a buy-bust operation which led in the recovery of two sachets of shabu and two marked P100 bills paid to him by an undercover agent.
In Calasiao, police arrested Reynaldo Martinez Jr. 28, after he handed a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing shabu to a poseur along Junction, Bgy. San Miguel around 5:40 p.m., Friday. The suspect yielded a marked P500 bill and five pieces of P100 bills during the entrapment operation.
In San Carlos City, police arrested Benjie Prado, 25, a resident of Bgy. Quintong who is wanted for attempted rape. A warrant for the arrest of the suspect was issued by Judge Renato Pinlac of the San Carlos City RTC Branch 57. A P200,000 bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the suspect.
In Sta. Barbara town, police arrested Jonas Solis, 22, a truck helper after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur in Bgy. Minien West 10 p.m. Friday. The suspect yielded three marked P100 bills and three packets of shabu.
