Jail visitor caught with shabu

A female visitor at the Mandaluyong Police Station detention cell was arrested for allegedly trying to sneak shabu into the jail facility yesterday morning. 

The suspect, Danica Zamora, 30, of Bgy. Hulo, Mandaluyong City, was nabbed at 11:30 a.m. while holding  shabu with his hand inside the Mandaluyong Police Custodial Detention Unit (CDU), according to Senior Supt. Joaquin Joaquin Alva, Mandaluyong police chief.
 
Senior Insp. Danilo Esguerra, Mandaluyong Criminal Investigation chief, said the suspect was about to visit and bring food to her live-in partner,  Edgar Poso, at the said jail facility.
   
Poso is currently detained for violation of RA 9165 or drug case.
   
All visitors, including Zamora, were subjected to routine thorough frisking procedure by PO1 Krushieve Pahitong before entering the jail premises.
   
The police officer noticed that the suspect was acting suspiciously.
   
During inspection, the police discovered a heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing undetermined quality of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu by concealing it in her hands.
   
The suspect, who is facing charges of violation of Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), Article II, of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, was detained at the said detention cell.
