MALOLOS CITY -- Tiniyak kamakailan ng tagapagsalita ni retired Army General Jovito Palparan Jr. na si Atty. Jesus Santos na hindi ito susuko.
Sa telephone interview ng People’s Tonight, sinabi ni Santos, tubong Bulacan at isa rin sa mga abogado ng dating commanding general ng 7th Infantry Division, na kailanman ay hindi naisip ng heneral na sumuko dahil ito ay hindi takas na bilanggo at hanggang ngayon ay naniniwalang inosente pa sa ilalim ng umiiral na batas.
Nauna rito, nag-file ang mga abogado ni Palparan ng “motion for quest information of warrant of arrest” sa sala ni Malolos Regional Trial Court Judge Teodora Gonzales.
Ang motion for quest information of warrant of arrest ay ipinasok ng mga abogado ng dating heneral dahil walang naging preliminary investigation sa ikinaso sa kanyang kidnapping at serious illegal detention na pawang mga bagong kaso.
Base sa naipamahaging polyeto ng dating heneral, hindi siya lalabas ng bansa at mananatili siyang maninindigan sa katotohanan dahil ang pagsampa ng kaso sa kanya ay hindi kailanman naayon sa batas.
“Halos kalahati ng buhay ko ay inilaan ko para maglingkod at nanatiling tapat sa Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas, bakit ako ngayon ay ginigipit ng gobyerno,” tanong ni Palparan.
Ayon pa kay Santos, sinabi umano sa kanya ni Palparan Jr., na ang hindi niya pagsuko ay dala ng may paglabag na ginawa para lamang siya ay magkakaso sapagkat ang walong kaso na naisampa na sa Department of Justice ay naibasura nang lahat.
“I am just around, but I will try my best not to surrender,” ayon pa kay Palparan Jr.
