A 72-YEAR-OLD man who won half of the P300 million jackpot prize in the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw last week claimed his prize yesterday from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
The winner from Hinunangan, Southern Leyte used the number combination of 10-20-11-16-28-14.
The instant millionaire said the winning numbers were a combination of the birth dates of his wife and only child; and the date of his wedding anniversary.
The winner received the P150,077,270 check from PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas.
He told Rojas he will use the money to help his relatives. He also pledged to give out scholarships in his town.
The Southern Leyte native split the P300 million prize with a resident from Taytay, Rizal. The other winner has yet to claim his prize money.
Also, the PCSO said a lone bettor hit the P30 million jackpot prize in the 6/55 Grand Lotto draw on Monday night.
The bettor used the winning combination of 29-02-01-33-03-28.
The Grand Lotto draw’s jackpot prize had been reset to P30 million after two bettors from Taytay, Rizal and Hinunangan, Southern Leyte won the P300 million prize last February 15.
