ANOTHER suspect in the Maguindanao massacre was arrested by government security forces the other day in Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao.
This was confirmed yesterday by Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr.
Cruz identified the suspect as Sahid Guiamadel, involved in massacre of 56 persons including several journalists in November 2009.
The suspect was arrested by joint elements of Police Regional Office (PRO)-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM)-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)12, 1st Marine Brigade, 1st Mechanical Infantry Battalion and 45th Infantry Battalion at around 11 a.m. on Sunday at Bgy. Sapakan, Rajah Buayan.
He was arrested based on warrant of arrest for multiple murder issued by Judge Jocelyn Solis- Reyes of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 221.
The arrested suspect is now under the custody of CIDG 12, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat for proper disposition, reports said.
Authorities are now conducting follow-up investigation to the incident. Zaida delos Reyes-Palanca
