PNoy admits marriage dream

PRESIDENT Benigno S. Aquino III admitted yesterday he had long dreamt of standing before the altar and exchanging vows with his  flame.

Aquino however jestingly said that he is rather “unlucky” pointing out his marrying plans had begun since he was still in college.

The President proved to be sentimental and romantic as he reminisced the love life of the late President Manuel Quezon whom he branded as lucky.

The President drew cheers from his audience at the capitol grounds in Baler, Quezon when he spoke about Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon’s life, marking the latter’s124th birth anniversary celebration.

Aquino said the late president Quezon was “lucky” to have as his wife, Doña Aurora, whom he noted, had helped her husband during his term as the nation’s leader during World War II.

“Hindi ko maiwasan tuloy isipin na iba talaga kapag may inspirasyon ka,” President Aquino said, drawing cheers and applause from the audience that included Senator Edgardo Angara, Aurora Governor Bellaflor Castillo and Representative Juan Edgardo Angara.

Palace reporters later pressed Aquino on his statements about having an inspiration in life only to say that he had referred to his parents.

But yet Malacañang reporters pushed the issue on Aquino and asked him to identify her, prompting him to remark: Matagal ko nang plano yan, college pa lang ako, Hindi lang ako siniswerte.”

“Kung sino yon, aalamin natin yon. Well, ulitin ko lang ano, siyempre mga role models ko mga magulang ko. Siguro tinuro sa amin nong college yung …Christian commitment and theology of marriage…’yong all couples agree to be in one and the one that is achieved is greater than the sum of its parts. So ‘yong given the burderns of my office, it is kung mayroon kang nahihingahan, kung mayroon kang nakukwentuhan, kung mayroon nagsasabi sa iyong okay ka pa, e di siyempre yun ang susi ng inspirasyon na alam yon dahil matagal ka nang nakasal sa iyong maybahay,” Aquino said.

Aquino was mum on his date anew with Korean TV and radio host Grace Lee last Friday with Angel Locsin and John Llyod Cruz per information by Lee’s twitter friend Diane Simeon.

Although open with his romantic ties with Lee, the 52-year-old bachelor wants the public to give him privacy about his love life.

Earlier, the President led the wreath laying rites  at Baler , Quezon  at the statue of Dona Aurora Aragon-Quezon in commemoration of her 124th birth anniversary.

President Aquino was welcomed by Aurora Governor Bellaflor Angara-Castillo, Senator Edgardo Angara and his son, Aurora Representative Juan Edgardo Angara.

Aquino later proceeded to the Aurora Memorial hospital for inauguration rites.
