THE Bureau of Fire Protection acquired a brand new ambulance which will be shipped immediately to Rio Grande Basin in Mindanao for medical operations.
BFP acting commander Chief Supt. Samuel Perez said that the new ambulance was the latest share to the flood-stricken area after the two rubber boats.
The H1000 Hyundai ambulance was donated by the Armed Forces of the Philippines Mutual Benefits Association Inc.
In a simple turnover ceremony, AFPMBAI president Retired BGen Ricardo Morales said that the association decided to give away donations to other institutions after its assets have reached the P10 billion mark.
AFPMBAI also donated six ambulances to the General Headquarters Office; two to the Philippine Army and one each to the Philippine Navy and Air Force.
The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Philippine National Police and Philippine Coast guard also received one unit each.
Morales said that the association will continue to share their benefits to other agencies of the government. Joel dela Torre
