Retiring PMA Class ’81 member has new post


A MEMBER of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1981 who will be retiring this coming Nov. 22 was named yesterday as the new director of the Philippine National Police Logistics Support Service.

Chief Supt. Rex Milton A. Dolino replaced Chief Supt. Manuel H. Cachero, a member of PMA Class 1978 who opted to retire from the service eight months before his actual retirement on Oct. 11. PNP Chief of Directorial Staff, Deputy Director General Emelito T. Sarmiento officiated the turnover of command at the PNP-LSS.

Dolino will serve as director of the Center for Police Strategy Management, the PNP office supervising the police transformation program in a concurrent capacity,

Dolino, the erstwhile deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Plans, is one of the oldest members of PMA Class 1981, older by three to four years to most of his classmates.

Members of the class led by National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Alan LM Purisima will mostly retire in 2015 at the age of 56.

Another member of PMA Class 1981, Enrico G. Salapong retired with the rank of Chief Superintendent on May 2 last year. Salapong got his star-rank while with the PNP Internal Affairs Service.
