INTERIOR and Local Government Secretary Jessie Robredo yesterday ordered policemen and fire trucks of Bureau of Fire Protection from Region 6 to proceed to Negros and Cebu Islands to help quake victims.
The Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental was the hardest and severely affected by 6.9 magnitude earthquake last Monday noon.
Robredo said the primary objective of police and fire trucks of BFP from Region 6 was to bring clean drinking water for the affected victims.
The fire trucks will come from Bais City, Kanlaon City and San Carlos City in Negros Occidental.
Robredo ordered the police to intensify their police visibility in the wake of reports that many big and small stores or merchandising were attacked by looters as well as to maintain the peace and order while the relief operation is on going.
