LA SALLE and NCBA dispute the remaining semifinals berth in their no-tomorrow match in the Spikers' Turf Collegiate Conference presented by PLDT Home Ultera today at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

The winner of the 5 p.m. tussle will face reigning UAAP champion Ateneo in the best-of-three series starting on Monday.

The other semis pairing pits National University and NCAA titleholder Emilio Aguinaldo College, which is also a race-to-two affair.

The Blue Eagles topped the quarterfinals with a 7-0 card, while the Bulldogs and the Generals placed second and third with 6-1 and 4-3 slates, respectively.

Both tied in No. 4 at 3-4, the Green Spikers and the Wildcats blew their chances to clinch spots in the semis after dropping their final quarters assignments last Wednesday.

La Salle bowed to Howard Mojica and the rest of EAC, 23-25, 25-23, 20-25, 24-26, while NCBA lost a narrow 21-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, 11-15 decision to already-eliminated University of the Philippines.

Raymark Woo hopes to see action for the Green Spikers' after spraining his ankle in the second set which forced him to sit out in the third and fourth, where the Generals were on a rampage.

Guest player Edwin Tolentino returned after a long absence but his 24-point effort against the Fighting Maroons was not enough to bail out the Wildcats.

In case Woo is not yet in 100 percent form, Arjay Onia, Ralph Calasin and Cris Dumago must step up for La Salle.

Tolentino and fellow guest player Reyson Fuentes will banner NCBA's attack along with PJ Domingo and Jason Canlas.
