THE validity of the existing Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) deputy cards has been extended until Thursday, Feb. 28 this year.
In his memorandum circular of 02 2013, MTRCB chairperson Atty. Eugenio H. Toto Villareal, said the present deputy cards in metallic gold and black are still good till the end of this month.
Villareal said the new deputy cards are still in the process of adding security features against counterfeiting plus some other considerations, hence the reason for the validity extension.
He added the issuance proper of the new card which comes in blue, black and gray on the face and white on the opposite side within the month of February this year will be covered by a supplemental memorandum circular pending such deliberation.
Earlier, the board has approved the issuance of the new deputy cards valid for 2013 pursuant to the MTRCB’s power to inspect all public exhibitions of motion pictures per Section 13 of Presidential Decree, 1986. Efren Montano
