Cop loses P35-K valuables to ‘Basag-Kotse’ gangmen

A RANKING lady police officer no less became the latest victim of crime in Manila when members of the so-called ‘Basag Kotse Gang’ smashed her car window and took her valuables the other night in Tondo.

A report forwarded to the office of Supt. Robert Domingo, station commander of the Manila Police District-Police Station 1, said the incident took place at 10:45 p.m. at the corner of Fidel and Bulacan Streets in Gagalangin, Tondo.
   
Victim Senior Insp. Marissa Santos, 34, reportedly a commander at the Police Community Precinct 6 of the Valenzuela City police and residing at 2535 Fidel St., Gagalangin, was said to be sleeping in her home when she was awakened by her sister-in-law saying her car window had been broken by a thief.
   
When she checked, Santos indeed found the passenger seat window of her grey Honda CRV (WNR-782), already shattered. Said car was parked at the corner of Fidel and Bulacan Streets.
   
Santos also found out that the valuables inside her car had been stolen. These included, among others, an Iphone 4s cellphone worth P15,000; a pair of Michael Kors sneakers (P11,000), a pair of PNP patrol shoes (P1,500), a pair of Nine West sandals (P2,000), assorted goods (P1,500), garments (P3,000), two .9mm magazines with 15 live ammunition each and a unit of  Gameboy worth P2,500.
   
Police said they are now looking for the suspect who remains unidentified and only described as between 20 and 30 years old, about  5’9” tall and of medium built.
