Man shot dead by Mc-riding gunmen

A man was shot dead by unidentified suspects riding on separate motorcycles while another was hit by a stray bullet in Marikina City Sunday night.

Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula identified the fatality as Armando Albarida, 48, of Block 4, Lot 11, Champaca 1, Bgy.  Fortune, Marikina, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
Ruel Mangunlay, 22, of 9 Champaca 2, also in Bgy. Fortune, was rushed to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Hospital after being hit by a stray bullet in the back.
Investigation showed that Albarida had just alighted from a tricycle and walking along the terminal on Fortune Ave. corner Champaca 1 St., on his way home at around 8:40 p.m.
Minutes later, five men on board three motorcycles arrived and shot the victim successively.
A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team recovered two fired cartridge cases for unknown caliber of firearm at the scene.
