Bedridden lolo found dead under fire debris

THE body of a 51-year old man was discovered beneath debris of fire that displaced some 400 families, the other day in Parañaque City.

The victim was identified as Ruben Torres, single, said to be bedridden. He was found lying face down and was believed to have suffocated.
Torres’ body was discovered during a mopping up operation after firemen contained the more than two-hour fire that gutted 200 houses displacing 400 families.
A report of SFO1 Cristobal Maynes of Parañaque City Fire Station said the body of the victim was taken to a funeral parlor for autopsy while Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) of the Southern Police District are still conducting further investigation.
The report added that fire volunteer identified as Mike Gabino, 33, sustained a laceration near the left ear when a fire of still undetermined origin, broke out at 11:38 a.m. in Bayview Drive, Bgy. Tambo, Parañaque City.
It  was contained after more than two hours or at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
