CIDG agents nab 4 most wanted men

FOUR most wanted persons in the country were arrested and jailed by agents of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group  in separate anti-crime operations in the countryside this week, PNP-CIDG director, Chief Superintendent Roel B. Obusan, announced yesterday.

One of the suspects identified as Allan Albert Alistaire Olivar, a 42-year old call center agent wanted for a rape case in Quezon City was arrested in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu early morning Tuesday by members of the CIDG Detection and Special Operations Unit headed by Senior Supt. Narciso Domingo and the local police.
   
A warrant for the arrest of the suspect for rape has been issued by the Q.C. Regional Trial Court Branch 94.
   
Last Wednesday, the same CIDG unit, with the assistance of the Police Regional Office 8 and the Angeles City Police Station captured Cresencio Salurio alias ‘Cris Salurio, a man wanted for murder in his hiding place in Barangay Sta. Teresita in Angeles City, Pampanga.
   
The 45-year old Salurio was described as the third most wanted person in Calbayog City in Samar.
   
In Baliwag, Bulacan, wanted rape suspect Guillermo Palay Jr. was arrested by members of the Laguna CIDG and the local police during an operation in Bgy. Tibag early morning Wednesday, said 4th Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit chief, Senior Supt. Rex Anongos.
   
The official said that Palay carries a P140,000 bounty on his head and is considerd one of the most wanted persons in the region.
   
In La Trinidad, Benguet, local CIDG officers arrested Joseph Sicat, a man wanted for syndicated estafa during an operation in Cabanao, Balili, Kilometer 6 in La Trinidad town past 7 a.m. Wednesday.
   
Local CIDG chief, Senior Supt. Angeles Genorga Jr. identified Sicat as the manager of the Samahan Ng  Kalalakihan at Kababaihan Para sa Pag-unlad Multi-Purpose Cooperative  accused of involvement in large-scale swindling activities.
