QUEZON City policemen arrested a notorious drug pusher and confiscated about P1.5 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Quirino, Quezon City.
Police District (QCPD) Acting District Director, Police Senior Superintendent Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar reported to National Capital Region Police Office Director PCSupt Oscar D. Albayalde the confiscation of shabu worth 1.5 million pesos from a notorious drug suspect in a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives from the District Anti-Illegal Drugs (DAID) headed by PSupt. Godfredo K. Tul-o and District Special Operation Unit (DSOU) under PSupt. Rogarth Campo.
QCPD Acting District Director, Police Senior Superintendent Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar identified the arrested suspect as Reginald Mapili, 46, a resident of Blk 3, Lt 18, Villa Olympia, Bgy. Sto. Domingo, Cainta Rizal. Mapili was reportedly a notorious drug pusher in Quezon City and other cities in Metro Manila. He also has a reported pending murder case in San Juan City.
Investigation showed that at about 11:55 a.m., November 26, 2016 at Anonas St., Bgy. Quirino 3-A, Quezon City, DAID operatives led by PInsp. Joel T. Cabauatan and DSOU operatives led by PSI Paterno L. Domondon JR conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspect. An operative posed as buyer and set a drug deal with Mapili worth P450K which resulted in his arrest.
Confiscated from the suspect were one heat- sealed transparent plastic of shabu (with an estimated street value of P1.560 million), an LG cellular phone and buy-bust money worth P450,000.
The suspect was charged with violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) before the office of Assistant City Prosecutor Hertor A. Buenaloz Jr.
