Man shot dead in front of mom’s store

A 40-year-old unemployed man was gunned down by two unidentified suspects on board a motorcycle while standing in front of his mother’s store in Bgy. Magui-han, Lemery, Batangas, Sunday night. 

Town police head Chief Insp. Rodel Sibalo Ban-O identified the victim as Harold Amo Salientes, married, of Bgy. Maguihan, Lemery.
A staff of the Our Lady of Caysasay Medical Center reported the incident to the Lemery Police Station when the victim was admitted at 8:10 p.m.
Investigators, led by detectives SPO1 Omar G. Salanguit and PO3 Richard C. Caragay, said that at 8 p.m. on November 27, the  victim was standing in front of the sari-sari store of his mother, Zenaida, when the two unidentified suspects on board an unknown type of motorcycle suddenly arrived and shot the victim several times after which they quickly escaped.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds in the head and different parts of the body and was rushed to the said hospital but died while undergoing treatment.
Dragnet operations were  requested from the Batangas Police Provincial Office and other neighboring stations for the possible arrest of the supects.
The victim was included in the drug watchlist of the Lemery MPS, investigators said.
The cadaver of the victim was brought to Anters Funeral Parlor for autopsy.
