A construction worker was seriously wounded when the relatives of a woman who earlier splashed him with boiling water ganged up on him while he was seated in a motorcycle in Tondo, Manila, early yesterday morning.
Victim Flaviano Pinoliad Jr., 33, of 249 Gate 1, Parola Compound, Tondo, Manila, sustained gunshot wounds in the body and bruises all over while the suspects, identified only through their aliases as ‘Kulas Seloso,’ ‘Jeeboy Seloso’ and ‘Isko’, all residents of Tondo, escaped after the incident.
Investigation by PO3 Paul Vincent Barbosa II of the Manila Police District (MPD)-Station 2 said the incident took place at 2:20 a.m. near the victim’s home.
The victim was said to be seated in his motorcycle which was parked near his house when his neighbor Vilma Seloso suddenly threw boiling water onto the street, hitting the victim.
The victim said that despite having been hurt, he ignored what happened but was surprised when the suspects, instead of apologizing for Vilma, even had the temerity to confront him. The suspects mauled him and one of them stabbed him in the chest.
After the suspects fled on foot, the victim’s sister took him to the nearest hospital.
