A 26-year-old service crew was wounded after being hacked with  a samurai by his enemy while the former’s friend was also wounded when he tried to come in between the two as they crossed paths in Tondo, Manila, yesterday morning.

Victim Christian Jhonie Diaz, of 1301 Int. 16, T. Bugallon St, Tondo, was wounded in the left hand while his friend Jallo Renz Angat, 19, was wounded in both hands.
Suspects John Diel Nuevas and Patrick Cruz, both of Tondo, meanwhile, escaped and are now being hunted down by the police.
Investigation by the Manila Police District (MPD)-Station 7 said the incident took place at 12:30  a.m. at the corner of Sampaguita and Callea Streets in Tondo.
Prior to the incident, Diaz, Angat and one Ramil Mason were reportedly planning a drinking session. When Diaz stepped out of the house to buy some cigarettes, Nuevas, already armed with samurai, blocked his path along with Cruz.
Nuevas hacked Diaz but the latter was able to evade but was hit in the left hand.
Angat heard the commotion and tried to pacify the suspects but they turned their ire on him, hitting him in both hands.
The suspects then fled on foot while the victims were rushed by their relatives to the hospital.
Investigation showed that prior to the incident, the victims filed a case of slight physical injuries against the suspects before the barangay.
