Jodi Sta. Maria Jodi Sta. Maria

“Actually, maraming nag-message kasi people were thinking it was shabu or cocaine. Sabi ko, siguro, next time, I have to be specific because I just said that I turned to drugs but it was anti-anxiety drugs that I turned to during those moments,” pahayag ni Jodi.

It’s because I believe, ’yung mga lowest point ng life natin, it really makes us realize our humanity and it makes us humble,” she said.

Ang tinutukoy ni Jodi na lowest point of her life ay nang mahiwalay siya sa asawang si Panfilo Lacson, Jr. She opened up about it at The Perfect Love Conference sa Mandaue City last October kung saan ay sinabi niyang naging alcoholic din siya.

“Before becoming a workaholic, I became an alcoholic. I drank day and night. I even drank during tapings, ang gusto ko kasi masolusyunan ’yung feeling ko of pain and emptiness. When alcohol wasn’t enough, I turned to drugs. I felt empty. I pretended to be okay when the truth is hindi naman talaga. I was in and out of bad relationships that left me all the more wounded and broken,” Jodi was quoted as saying sa nasabing event.
