Fire hits Masbate PNP hq

A FIRE broke out inside the Masbate Police Provincial Office headquarters in Masbate City yesterday morning, damaging at least seven offices. No one was reported injured in the more than four-hour blaze, a Police Regional Office 5 report said.

PRO5 director Chief Supt. Melvin Ramon Buenafe said the fire of still unknown origin started at 1:30 a.m. at the Camp Bonny Serrano building and destroyed the offices of the Provincial Police-Community Relations Branch, Intelligence Branch, Supply Office, Women and Children’s Protection Division Office, Provincial Internal Affairs Service, National Police Commission Office and the Masbate Crime Laboratory Office.
   
Damage to properties is still being determined as of press time, said Buenafe.
   
The fire was put out at 5 a.m.
