Slain car thief yields shabu

POLICE killed a suspected carnapper and suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust operation in Purok 4, Bgy. Bigaa, Cabuyao City, Laguna, yesterday morning.

Supt. Fernando Ortega, Cabuyao City police chief, said the slain suspect, who has not yet been identified, sustained gunshot wounds in the body and died on the spot.

The suspect, according to intel operatives of Warrant Section, were conducting a follow-up operation regarding a reported motornapping incident in Forteza Subd., Bgy. Pulo.

Police said the fatality was positively identified by the victim, Alvin Bullon, who owned a Yamaha Mio Sporty (DA 54919), as the one who took from him his vehicle at gunpoint at 3 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspect a cal. .38 revolver loaded with four fired cartridge cases and 13 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the motorcycle.

During the operation, police also arrested one Jeffrey Cantalejo for selling a small sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer.
