BAUAN, Batangas -- Two unidentified riding-in-tendem assailants murdered a 45-year-old tricycle driver on Don Quintin St., Bgy. Poblacion 1, here, Saturday.

Town police commander Chief Insp. Alfie Salang identified the slain triker as Armando Martin Jr., alias Dingdong, married, of Bgy. Poblacion 2, this town.

A team, led by deputy police chief Insp. Paterno D. Ilagan, said they found at the scene the bloodied victim with multiple gunshot wounds lying on the concrete pavement.

The victim, tagged by police as a pusher, was declared dead on arrival at  Bauan General Hospital by  attending physician Dr. Wiston Ilagan at 7:05 p.m.

The triker sustained bullet wounds in the head and body.
At about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, the victim was driving his tricycle powered by Kawasaki Barako 175 with “for registration” plate    when the suspects, apparently waiting for him, shot him several times, Detectives PO2 Nomer M. Alcantara and PO2 Denver R. Claveria said.
The suspects then quickly boarded their black motorcycle driven by a cohort and sped away.
A Scene of the Crime Operatives team processed the area and later conducted  an  autopsy on the victim’s body.
