14 held for drugs in Navotas, Valenzuela, Malabon

AN undetermined amount of illegal drugs were seized from 14 persons during simultaneous operations Monday night and yesterday in Valenzuela, Malabon and Navotas cities.

Valenzuela police chief Senior Supt. Ronaldo Mendoza said four plastic sachets containing an undetermined quantity of shabu were seized by operatives of Station Intelligence Branch from Arthur Fabros, 46, Rodel Celestino, 31, and Renard Frenandez, 24, during a buy-bust operation at 12:30 a.m. in Purok 4, Mapulang Lupa.
    
Earlier at 11:10 p.m. Monday, Jesus Villaruel, 41, and his live-in partner Lucia Villacorta, 40, both of Matulungin Ext., Area 2, Bgy. Malinta, were arrested after they sold a plastic sachet of shabu worth P200 to PO1 John Balanan, who acted as poseur-buyer.
    
Police said the suspects’ house used as drug den was raided, resulting in the arrest of Dennis Valler, 42, and Roderick Duque, 44, who were caught sniffing shabu inside. They yielded five plastic sachets of shabu.
    
At 7:50 p.m., operatives of Valenzuela Police Community Precinct (PCP) 5, led by Insp. Josephine Dalum-pines, responded to a call from a concerned citizen regarding an ongoing shabu session at 10 Espiritu St., Bgy. Mabolo, that led to the arrest of Jodel Hernandez, 31, Antonio Pastor, 50, and Angelica Paje, 25.
    
Elements of PCP-5 recovered two plastic sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
    
In Malabon City, a team led by PO3 Rommel Abarro conducted a buy-bust operation at 7:45 p.m. on Hiwas St., Bgy. Longos, and were able to arrest Mark Anthony Tolentino, 22, and his younger brother Lloyd, 19.
    
The siblings yielded seven plastic sachets containing shabu aside from three plastic sachets and P500.
 
At 8:30 p.m., elements of the Navotas Police Station Anti-Illegal Drugs (SAID), led by Senior Insp. Venchito Cerillo, conducted a buy-bust operation at 62 M. Fernando St., Wawa, Bgy. Tangos, and arrested Isagani Malaca, 60, and Mark Anthony Laderas, 28.
    
Navotas police chief Senior Supt. Dante Novicio said the suspects were arrested after they handed a plastic sachet of shabu to a police decoy worth P200. When frisked, they yielded five more sachets of shabu.
