LUCKY 7 Koi Productions, Inc., composed of friends who are frequent Solaire Resort and Casino guests, gather some of the country’s world-class performers for a musical showdown come October 28, 7:30 p.m. at The Theater in Solaire . They include The Journey’s Arnel Pineda, Your Face Sounds Familiar second placer Michael Pangilinan, the next big diva Morissette and X-Factor UK finalist The 4th Impact. In this one-of-a kind treat, joining them as front act is the beautiful Mayumi (grand champion, Jap-Pinoy Star Quest of ABS-CBN) and T.O.M.S. Band.
Arnel Pineda is a great rocker—former vocalist of a local band (Big Thing) in the 80’s before he joined The Journey after the group saw a video of Arnel whose voice is strikingly close to that of Steve Perry, legendary frontman of the Journey. Arnel has been doing sold-out shows with the Journey in Chile, Las Vegas, and elsewhere in the world. At the presscon, Arnel clarifies the rumor that he’s been booted out as the Journey’s front man. In fact, he said they’re doing at least 60 shows a year and the group seems happy with his performance.
Michael Pangilinan, ang Bagong Kilabot Ng Mga Kolehiyala, won the hearts of millions when he landed second place in Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 2 on ABS-CBN. Prior to that, he interpreted compositions twice in ABS-CBN’s Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs in 2014 and 2016. His song, Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako in 2014 garnered more than 8 million views on Youtube. He just released his second album under the Star Music label with Hanggang Kailan as the carrier single . His lovelife is also so far, so good with Gabby’s daughter, Garrie Concepcion.
Morissette is undeniably the next big diva. She wows her audience like it’s nobody’s business. After landing as finalist in the first season of ABS-CBN’s The Voice, her career zoomed high up. She also debuted in Broadway with Repertory Philippines’ production of Disney’s Camp Rock.
The 4th Impact wowed the discriminating taste of the movie press people during the presscon. The Cercado sisters-Mylene, Irene, Almira, Celina collectively known as 4th Impact. When they auditioned for X-Factor UK , they carried the name 4th Power but later changed it to 4th Impact after they created great impact on the crowd and the judges led by Simon Cowell.
For tickets to this world-class, once-in-a-lifetime concert at The Theater of Solaire Resort @ Casino on Oct. 28, call Ticketworld at 891-9999.
ARIEL UNDERRATED, EXPLAINS WHY HE’S PICKY WITH ROLES
ARIEL Rivera is such an underrated actor who stays away from intrigues. He may be picky with roles but that’s the way it is. He wants to be remembered with his performance as he doesn’t want to shortchange the viewers who spend their time watching a show expecting good viewing experience.
A very good family man, Ariel is also busy with construction business, being an architect as his other profession. He also often jets from Manila to Canada and vice versa because his two sons are currently pursuing their studies there. Wife Gelli de Belen is also busy with her acting career who’s now one of the most hated contravidas because of her role in the ABS-CBN primetime hit, “Magpahanggang Wakas.”
Meanwhile, Ariel stars in another potboiler on GMA7, “Hahamakin Lahat,” an afternoon sure-hit serye that topbills Kristoffer Martin, Joyce Ching, Thea Tolentino and Bruno Gabriel.
‘BUBBLE GANG’ THE MOST GENERIC MEDICINE
“BUBBLE Gang” continues to pin high ratings. The reason perhaps why the cast and the people behind the show are so inspired to give the viewers a good and wholesome entertainment that really gives the appetite for comedy.
Tomorrow night in “Bubble Gang” – expect the entire cast, led by Michael V to give their all with funny antics, commercial spoofs, sketches and gags Always remember that laughter is the best medicine. And it’s the cheapest and the most generic.
