A CONVICTED drug pusher who disguised himself by wearing a long wig to evade arrest was nabbed over the weekend by elements of Mandaluyong Police after his five years of hiding.

Mandaluyong Police chief Senior Supt. Joaquin Alva said accused Emmanuel Gamali, 56, alias Eboy, of Blk 3 Lot 21 Mabini J. Rizal, Mandaluyong City, was walking in a hip-hop manner outside his house at J. Rizal at around 4:30 p.m. when spotted by members of Warrant and Subpoena Section headed SPO4 Jose Drexell “Bong“Molina.  SPO4 Bobby Rico and PO2 Johnny Montilla immediately arrested Gamali.

Court records showed Gamali, member of the Dimas Drug group, was convicted by Mandaluyong RTC for drug pushing last 2011. He went into hiding before his conviction.

Molina said they received information that Gamali came back to his residence a month ago so the  police immediately formed an operation that led to the arrest of Gamali.

The fugitive is now detained at the Mandaluyong City detention cell .
