20 held for drugs in Iriga, San Pablo, Mabalacat, Trece Martires

AT least 20 drug personalities, including a couple, two beauticians and six minor drug couriers, were arrested in separate police operations in Iriga, San Pablo, Mabalacat and Trece Martires cities, police reported yesterday.

At least 13 suspects, including six minors aged 13, were used as drug couriers. The suspects were nabbed during the serving of search warrants at the residence of Rosa Ebron Dize, 44, at a compound in Zone 6, Bgy. San Francisco, allegedly used as drug den, the Iriga City police reported on Tuesday. Iriga City police chief Supt. Alex S. Pederio said that aside from Dize, police operatives also arrested her children Shabina Enrika Dize Lacap, 21, two minor sons aged 15 and 17, Michael Salazar Olea, 26, and a 17-year-old girl.

Pederio said at least four search warrants were served by the police at the Dize compound on Nov. 20, 2015, against Efren Dize, Apolinario Dize, Rosa Dize and her daughter Shabina Enrika Lacap, who were released after posting bail, and on March 15, 2016 wherein Leman Dize Olea, another kin of the suspects, was arrested. Joint members of the Regional Special Operations Task Group (RSOTG), PAIDU and the Iriga City Police Station recovered at the suspected drug den five medium and small plastic sachets of shabu, three plastic sachets of marijuana, tooters, aluminum foils, surgical scissors, needle pipes, lighters, bundles of plastic sachets, P955 and a hand grenade.

Also arrested during the anti-illegal drug search were Maricel Turiano Ramboyong, 24, John Rasec Dize Lacap, 20, a 13-year-old boy, Roberto Lucena Jr. III, 20, Jonathan Canaun Baita, 19, and a 17-year-old girl.
   
Pederio said the minors were subjected to drug and psychiatric tests before they were turned over to the City Social Welfare Office.
   
Meanwhile, 627 drug personalities voluntarily surrendered to “Oplan Tokhang” in Iriga City, including 13 females, 640 males, three minors and 12 incumbent barrangay officials.
   
One druggie died while resisting police arrest during the anti-illegal drug drive since July to September in this city, Pederio added.      
   
In Mabalacat City, Pampanga, operatives of the Pampanga Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested two men and a woman for drug pushing in Bgy. Dau last October 4.
   
Chief Insp. Reynold Macabitas identified the suspects as Alonzon Santos, 38, David Garcia, 36, and Jennalyn Mendoza, 38.
   
The three were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted along Sitio Daang Bakal at 1:30 a.m. A poseur-buyer was able to buy P300 worth of shabu from the suspects, who yielded the buy-bust money and three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu.
   
They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165.
   
In Cavite, the Philippine National Police’s  Project: Double Barrel in Trece Martires, led by Senior Insp. Romulo dela Rea, deputy chief of police, arrested two gay beauticians.
   
First to fall was Fernando Seachon Artiola, 49, single, beautician, presently residing at Bgy. San Agustin and listed as no. 12 on the drug watchlist and De Ocampo. During house-to-house visitation (Tok-hang), a certification stating that he is no longer residing in the area was issued by the barangay.
   
The location of the suspect, however, was traced after a series of monitoring. It was also found out that he was continuously doing drug- related activities. Confiscated from him were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and two marked P100 bills.
   
The other drug personality, Tiburcio Pintuan Managbang, 48, single, also a beautician, native of Samar and presently residing in Bgy. San Agustin, yielded two used aluminum foils and a disposable lighter.
   
The two are in custody of the Trece Martires City Police Station while the items confiscated from them were brought to Cavite Provincial Crime Laboratory for proper disposition.
   
In San Pablo City, a couple, who are suspected to be drug pushers, were collared by police operatives during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Sta Monica on Tuesday.
   
San Pablo City police chief Supt. Raynold Rosero identified the suspects as Raybel, 40, and Milani Dungo, 35.
   
Police confiscated from the couple eight small transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 1.77 grams  worth P4,400.
   
Rosero said the suspects are not yet included in the drug watchlist in the city police. 
   
“Ang dalawa ay nag-uumpisa pa lang magtinda ng droga,” he said.
   
The suspects were detained at San Pablo City Jail, facing drug charges before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
   
In Cabuyao City, police also arrested a suspected drug pusher for possession of illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Banlic.
   
Acting Cabuyao police chief Supt. Fernando Ortega identified the suspect as Efren Alinsunurin.
   
Police seized from the suspect two medium transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with estimated street value of P15,500.
   
The suspect was detained at the Cabuyao City Jail while the confiscated pieces of evidence will be subjected for laboratory drug examination.
