AN abandoned box at the corner of Quezon Boulevard and Hidalgo Street in Quiapo, Manila, caused a commotion among vendors and visitors in the said area, who thought it could be a bomb.
Others, on the other hand, suspected that it could contain body parts of a ‘salvage victim’ and thus sought the police for assistance.
Operatives from the Manila Police District Station 3 and the Explosives and Ordnance Division arrived at the scene and with the use of sniffing dogs and certan equipment, tried to detect what the box contained.
Once it was opened, the box was found to contain cellphone cases and accessories. The owner of the said box remains unknown.
