Aurora Moynihan on police drug watchlist -- SPD

THE Southern Police District (SPD) yesterday confirmed that Aurora Moynihan, sister of actress Maritoni Fernandez, who was shot dead the other day, was indeed included in police drug watchlist.

Senior Supt. Tomas Apolinario, Acting director of Southern Police District (SPD), also disclosed that Moynihan, 45, of 83 Ecology Village, Makati City, was arrested on Feb. 28, 2013, together with Joana and Henry Tinga, relatives of former Taguig Mayor Freddie Tinga; Crayon Ong and eight others in a buy-bust operation.
Police records showed the drug bust was conducted by operatives of Station Anti-Illegal Drugs of Taguig police, in Sta. Ana, Taguig City.
The records also showed that charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspects after police seized from them undetermined amount of shabu, marijuana and Ecstasy.
The same records further showed that Moynihan posted bail. Joana and Henry Tinga, on the other hand, are still detained at Taguig City Jail and Ong at Pasay City Jail.
Insiders at the Pasay City Jail confirmed that Moynihan visited Ong only last month.
Moynihan was gunned down at 1:45 a.m. Saturday by unidentified suspects on board a Toyota Fortuner in front of a house at 8 Temple Drive corner Giraffe St., Bgy. Ugong Norte, Quezon City.
