APPARENTLY fed up with the beating she suffered from her drug-hooked husband, a 33-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging yesterday in Pasay City.

SPO1 Dennis Desalisa, investigator-in-case, said the body of Janette Rebellon, 33, saleslady, of 3030 Agtarap St., Bgy. San Rafael, Pasay City, was found hanging by her husband, Rommel, inside their house at 3:30 a.m.

Police said a nylon cord was looped around Rebellon’s neck with the other end tied to a wooden beam on the ceiling of their room.

Prior to the discovery of Rebellon’s body, police said the couple had a heated argument at 11 p.m. Wednesday after Rommel confronted his wife for going out with his friends without informing him. The argument led to Rommel beating her for the nth time.

Investigation also showed that this is not the first time that Rebellon tried to commit suicide due to the beating she suffered from her husband.

Police also ruled out a foul play since Janette and Rommel’s daughter, Jhenny Rose, and niece Cherry Jane, both of legal age and residing with them, were convinced she committed suicide.

Police also discovered drug paraphernalia inside the couple’s house which, according to authorities, belong to Rommel.
